Transform children’s lives through Education at Hope for Children’s Health Foundation
30/8/2021
Background
Hope for Children’s Health Foundation is currently implementing Health and Education programs among the nationals in Kyangwali Subcounty and so far we have supported 53 orphans and vulnerable children and their families.
Supporting rural community vulnerable children to access better education and health is one of the key activities of Hope for Children’s Health Foundation in Uganda. However due to the closure of schools due to COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and schools have been closed for 18months now and therefore we have been supporting our children to access education from home and also support the malnourished children.
Achievement
In July and August 2021, we reached out to over 6 orphans and vulnerable children in Kyangwali village with Ready to Use therapeutic feeds so as to improve on their health. However due to limited funds we were not able to reach 13 malnourished children with food supplements and we hope we shall do so someday.
Challenge
ü We have been under lock down and this has affected transport means to the different villages or homes.
ü Limited funds to implement all our activities on the work plan.
We thank our Donors and friends for their support which has enabled us reach this far and we call upon for more support because every donation counts.
