Transform Communities lives through Home visits at Hope for Children’s Health Foundation
21/4/2022
Background
Hope for Children’s Health Foundation is currently implementing Health and Education programs among the nationals in Kyangwali Subcounty and so far, we have supported 65 orphans and vulnerable children and their families.
Supporting rural community vulnerable children to access better education and health is one of the key activities of Hope for Children’s Health Foundation in Uganda and because of the caretakers of our beneficiaries are HIV Infected we therefore we have been supporting them get psychosocial support services to access Health education and adherence support from home and also support the malnourished children.
Achievement
In Jan-March 2022, we reached out to over 12 Persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and who are caretakers of 8 orphans and vulnerable children in Kyangwali village and offered home based Intensive Adherence Counselling so as to improve on their health. However due to limited funds we were not able to reach 7 PLWHA and 4 malnourished children with adherence support and we hope we shall do so someday.
We thank our Donors and friends for their support which has enabled us reach this far and we call upon for more support because every donation counts.
