Empowering communities through education and economic programs 29-12-2022
Background
The HIV/AIDS and other diseases have left many children without parents or one of them in Kyangwali Village in Hoima & Kikuube districts. Many Families are headed by elderly grandparents and young people. It is also a common thing to find orphaned children living with HIV/AIDS, having acquired it from their parents during delivery.
Hope for Children’s Health Foundation is currently implementing Health and Education programs among the nationals in Kyangwali Subcounty and so far we have supported 53 orphans and vulnerable children and their families.
Supporting rural community vulnerable children to access better education and health is one of the key activities of Hope for Children’s Health Foundation in Uganda.
Achievement
In Oct-Dec 2022, we supported 12 orphans and vulnerable children access better education and 21 with sanitary materials with an aim on keeping young girls in school.
The parents and caretakers appreciated our efforts towards improving community lives and which could not have achieved with you our donors.
We intend to reach more 30 young girls in 3 villages with skills on how to make sanitary pads using local resources.
Appreciation
We thank our donors for their continued support towards our initiatives and projects.
