Quarterly Activity Report (January – March 2026)                                             16/02/2026

Project: Enhance Rural Girls’ Education and Healthcare in Uganda.

During the period of January to March 2026, the project continued supporting rural girls to stay in school and improve their health.

Impact

In this quarter, we provided school materials such as books, pens, and other basic supplies to help 33 girls continue with their studies. We also visited schools to check on attendance and monitor how the girls were progressing in class. Mentorship sessions were held to encourage the girls, build their confidence, and help them set personal and academic goals.

On the health side, we conducted sessions on personal hygiene and menstrual health. 400 Sanitary pads were distributed to help reduce absenteeism during menstruation. We also provided basic health guidance and referred some girls for medical attention where needed.

We engaged 102 parents and community members through meetings and discussions to emphasize the importance of educating girls and protecting them from early marriage and school dropout.

As a result of these efforts, school attendance improved among the supported girls from 35% to 62 %, and awareness about hygiene and health increased. Parents also showed more commitment to supporting their daughters’ education.

Challenges

However, we faced some challenges, including limited funds to support all the girls in need and transportation difficulties in reaching remote areas.

Conclusion

Overall, the project made steady progress during this quarter, and we remain committed to continuing support in the coming months to ensure that more rural girls stay in school and live healthier lives.
