This project will equip 20 clinics in Ghana with ultrasound machines to improve access to diagnostic healthcare services for underserved communities. Many rural and low-resource health facilities lack essential imaging equipment, making it difficult to diagnose medical conditions early and accurately. By providing ultrasound technology, this project will strengthen maternal healthcare, emergency diagnosis, and overall patient care.
Many clinics in Ghana operate without ultrasound machines due to high equipment costs and limited healthcare funding. This lack of diagnostic capacity affects pregnant women, emergency patients, and individuals with internal medical conditions who require imaging for proper diagnosis and treatment. Delayed or inaccurate diagnosis can lead to serious complications and preventable deaths.
This project will supply and install ultrasound machines in 20 selected clinics across Ghana. Healthcare workers will also receive training on the proper use and maintenance of the equipment to ensure effective and sustainable healthcare delivery. The machines will support maternal care, emergency diagnosis, and routine medical assessments.
The project will improve early diagnosis, strengthen maternal and emergency healthcare services, and increase access to quality medical care in underserved communities. Patients will benefit from faster and more accurate diagnosis, leading to improved treatment outcomes. Over time, this project will help strengthen Ghana's healthcare infrastructure and reduce preventable complications.
