This project will equip rural clinics in Ghana with X-ray machines to improve access to diagnostic healthcare services for underserved communities. Many rural health facilities lack essential imaging equipment needed to diagnose injuries, infections, and other medical conditions accurately and quickly. This project will strengthen healthcare delivery by improving early diagnosis and timely treatment for vulnerable patients.
Rural clinics in Ghana often operate without basic diagnostic imaging equipment due to limited healthcare funding and infrastructure challenges. Patients with fractures, chest infections, trauma, and other serious medical conditions are frequently referred to distant hospitals for X-rays, causing treatment delays, additional costs, and preventable complications.
This project will provide X-ray machines and related diagnostic equipment to selected rural clinics across Ghana. It will also support healthcare workers with training on safe operation, patient imaging, and equipment maintenance to ensure sustainable and effective healthcare services.
The project will improve healthcare quality, strengthen emergency diagnosis, and reduce delays in treatment for rural patients. Communities will benefit from better access to affordable diagnostic services closer to home. Over time, the project will strengthen rural healthcare systems and improve patient outcomes across underserved areas.
