We are establishing a sports cage on a 50X100 feet plot in a developing area, fostering youth talent and community engagement. The cage will serve as a hub for youth HIV clubs, football, and netball teams, addressing the lack of training grounds
In Ugandan semi urban/developing areas, 70% of youth lack access to sports facilities (UNICEF, 2020). Local football and netball teams struggle to find training grounds, with 80% having no dedicated space. Youth HIV clubs also face challenges finding meeting spaces, hindering awareness efforts. Limited recreational spaces contribute to youth idling and increased HIV risk (UNAIDS, 2020).
We are embarking on Construction of a sports cage with mesh fencing, goal posts, and netball poles. Equip it with basic amenities like benches, lighting, and water. Partner with local organizations to manage and maintain the facility. Offer coaching and mentorship programs for football, netball, and HIV awareness
It will create a vibrant community hub, reducing youth HIV infection rates by 30% within 2 years. Produce talented football and netball players, fostering sportsmanship and social responsibility. Establish the sports cage as a model for community-driven development projects
