Give school & love to abandoned girls in Mexico

Planning is a long term effort, and always a challenge. But not to plan is leaving us to die without hope!

Puerta Abierta always had hope that our long term goal would be met in spite of time and ups and downs along the way

Today, we are so happy and proud as two of our girls have finished their college education: Maria and Angie, the twins!!  Maria as a lawyer, and Angie is an Industrial Engineer.  Maria is already working in a Law firm, and Angie as the manager of a small business.

Their journey through Puerta Abierta has been intense, to say the least!  They are intelligent, with a strong and complex personality.  Being twins, they have found support in each other, with very strong personal bonds, sometimes hermetic and not easy to understand from the outside.  However, their maturing process and a strong awareness of their environment has fortified their identities and has developed into a strong sense of belonging to their home, family and foster sisters.

Today, they can recognize that the demands of strong discipline, consistency and great sensibility. In Puerta Abierta we have made them stronger to face the challenges they had along the way.  Challenges faced by them and the whole Puerta Abierta family, as they had to overcome them in order to get to their and our final goal.

We are convinced that it has been a win-win situation for all involved, and that although future challenges they will face will loom larger, they will overcome them and become exemplary and successful women. 

Maria and Angie, we wish success and keep moving forward!!
