In a home where 9 girls live, there is always an interesting story to tell. This time, we would like to share an experience which has made us feel quite proud.
Mercedes, who has never failed to surprise us, has once again given us a pleasant surprise. She finally finished the equivalent of her Junior High School program, and is now continuing with her High School studies. She is taking totally new courses for which she had no previous training. With academic help, guidance at home, and considerable self-motivation, she was able to pass satisfactorily her first monthly evaluation.
Once again this experience has reinforced the belief that personal motivation and dedication can compensate for any deficits or disabilities in order to overcome any obstacles in life. In our role as Mercedes’s family we will continue to work to help her maintain this resolve to succeed and continue to confront any new challenge with which she is faced
