Dear Donor,
Like in many African countries, also in Kenya it is hard to receive extremely sure data on the real impact of the diffusion of the COVID-19 pandemics. Since the beginning of the pandemic till March 2022 the World Health Organization has registered 322.946 confirmed cases, with 5.639 deaths. As of February 2022, a total of more than 16 million vaccine doses have been administered, 29,7% of the total population. The vaccination campaign has been indeed really slow.
With the reopening of schools, the Government had issued several provisions and restrictions aimed at preventing the spread of the virus. For this reason, our children keep on studying outdoor, in order to facilitate social distancing among them. This choice turned out to be strategic and also an important learning opportunity for the children. It is always really important assuring the continuity of the school activities. School is not only a learning space, but also a place in which children should feel safe, away from the dangers of the streets and of the slums.
With the arrival of the pandemic, the level of violence and the crime rate have increased and it is our responsibility to protect more our children. Thanks to your donations you will help us to assure a safe place in which our children can growth!
Thank you
