Key to success

By Emily Obiti | Field Worker

We provide daily meals
We provide daily meals

Turning Point's Feeding Programme provides much-needed daily meals to children in our two children's centres in Kibera.

One centre sees street children preparing to return to formal education. The other centre runs a primary school for the neediest children in Kibera.

The Feeding Programme is key to the success of these two programmes. Without the Feeding Programme, children simply wouldn't turn up at our centres each day, many would be forced by hunger to go to the streets and find alternative ways to find food.

Its a very simple solution but its vital to the ongoing success of our education programmes. When we feed the children in our centres, we don't just relieve hunger. We improve health, we improve school attendance and we improve school performance.

But for the Feeding Programme to continue providing these nutritious meals everyday, we need your help. We need people to give and to keep giving to ensure the programme can continue.

Thank you for your support for this key element in our work in Kibera. Please consider whether you could commit to making a regular donation towards this project to ensure we can keep providing these meals, today, tomorrow and for the rest of the year.
