A Simple Formula

By Emily Obiti | Field Worker

Daily meals = Good school attendance = Rising grades and improved learning outcomes

Its a simple formula, but it really works.

We have just completed another school year at the Fountains of Hope Primary School in Kibera. At our end-of-year parents meeting, our teachers were proud to announce a rise in average grades in every single class this year.

This is due to the children's hard work, our excellent teaching team and our improved facilities and resources. But the other vital ingedient is food. A hungry child can't concentrate and hunger is a frequent experience for the children in our school. So, with your help, we provide food every school day. Its an investment both in the children's health and their education.

Thank you for supporting us this year to provide this free feeding programme. We would like to invite you to consider giving regularly to this programme. Our school is growing and we aim to feed more children every year but to do this we need your partnership.

Thank you
