By Jonathan Williams | Director of Development, Rescuing Leftover Cuisine
It took 10 years for Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) to rescue 10 million pounds of food. That’s no small feat!
And it only gets better. Because of your support, RLC rescued an additional 10 million pounds of food in just two years!
That’s right, we’ve rescued over 20 million pounds of food, which goes directly to those experiencing food insecurity.
Our growth is astounding, and it’s all thanks to you!
This year alone, RLC:
Rescued almost 2.5 million pounds of food
Prevented 2 million pounds of harmful gases from entering our atmosphere
Partnered with 66 new food donors
Expanded partnerships in Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, and New York
Collaborated with 24 companies and organizations for special corporate volunteer initiatives
We cannot thank you enough!
We recently received these kind words from one of our nonprofit partners:
“A big thanks to our longtime partner in positive change, Rescuing Leftover Cuisine. By providing our organization with thousands of fresh and nutritious meals each year, this extraordinary organization is an invaluable partner in nourishing positive change!”
We cannot do this important work without you.
With nearly one billion dollars in cuts to federal assistance, our mission is more important than ever. Learn more about how we’re responding to these cuts, and help us meet the challenge ahead.
Thanks to you, we've changed millions of lives. Let’s keep going and change a million more.
With gratitude,
Jonathan Williams
