Stories of success

Time for the necessary lunch

Dear Our Donor,

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for helping us sustain our feeding program. There are so many stories of sucess both from the pupils and parents.

One paremt recently came to my office to thank me that all her six children have passed through our program. She attributes the successful finish of the schools of the older three children who finished successfully our primary school and one is now married and have a family, another in college and the other in secondary school.

All these were possible because they had an incentive to come to school knowing that many times they may go back home and realize that the food that was eaten at school was the only meal. Many times the children who had eaten in school could either carry some portion for their siblings or completely leave what may have been prepared at home for those who have not been on the feeding program.

Such stories have increaed our resolve to continue providing this necessity despite the fact that we are going through serious economic challenges in our country. Prices of commodities have doubled and the current government is not apologetic on putting heavy taxes on the ordinary Kenyan. Everything is tax left and right and this is even causing so much tension among the parties.

Can you imagine your $15 per month will ensure one pupil is fed the whole month? I do want to encourage you that every little consistent monthly donation, may be the only way for us to beat the serious inflattion rocking our country - Kenya.

Sincerely Yours,

Luke Jakoywa
