The effects of drought are being felt deeply by families in Karamoja. Failed crops have reduced food supplies and household income, leaving vulnerable families struggling to survive amid persistent poverty.
Our project will respond with urgent food assistance for households facing severe hunger and targeted nutrition support for children and pregnant mothers. We will also help families adopt climate-smart agricultural practices that can strengthen food production and reduce vulnerability to future environmental shocks.
This integrated approach allows us to address the immediate crisis while building a stronger foundation for long-term food security.
