Every child deserves enough nutritious food to grow, learn and dream about the future. Yet in Karamoja, persistent food insecurity is placing thousands of young children at risk of acute malnutrition.
The 2026 IPC analysis estimates that 122,100 children under five could experience acute malnutrition between March 2026 and February 2027, with 30,600 expected to face severe acute malnutrition.
