Project Overview
Feed, Grow, Empower Nepal is a long-term humanitarian initiative by Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal, designed to address three interconnected challenges faced by vulnerable families in rural communities — hunger, unemployment, and lack of opportunity.
The program aims to provide immediate food support (Feed), promote sustainable livelihood development (Grow), and empower families, especially women and youth, through skill-building and income-generation opportunities (Empower).
1. Feed – Fighting Hunger
Thousands of families in remote areas of Nepal still struggle to meet basic food needs due to poverty and unstable income sources.
Through this program, Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation has distributed food parcels, rice, flour, and essential groceries to poor households across Sunsari, Morang, Saptari, and Udaypur districts.
Each food pack sustains a family for 2–3 weeks and helps reduce the burden on low-income households, especially during difficult seasons.
2. Grow – Promoting Livelihood and Self-Reliance
Beyond immediate aid, the project focuses on helping families grow their own food and earn a living.
We are supporting small-scale agricultural activities — such as home gardens, vegetable cultivation, and poultry farming — providing basic tools, seeds, and training to help families become self-reliant.
This approach strengthens food security and gives long-term dignity to recipients.
3. Empower – Building Skills and Independence
The empowerment component targets widows, single mothers, and youth through vocational training and business startup support.
Participants are trained in tailoring, handicrafts, and small enterprise management — helping them build steady income sources and improve household resilience.
Current Status
The project has achieved significant progress with limited resources.
So far, we have:
Provided food assistance to over 350 families.
Supported 25 women through vocational training.
However, due to increased needs and rising costs, additional funding is urgently required to continue and expand these efforts.
