Dear Supporters,
Food insecurity does not affect everyone equally. Persons with disabilities, women-led households, displaced families, elderly people, and children often face additional barriers when trying to access food, healthcare, education, and livelihoods.
Inclusive food security means ensuring that the most vulnerable people are considered in community response efforts. Families with persons with disabilities may experience higher living costs, limited mobility, or reduced income opportunities, making access to nutritious food even more difficult.
Across northern Nigeria, inclusive humanitarian response is essential for protecting dignity and reducing hardship. When food security initiatives reach marginalized groups, communities become fairer, healthier, and more resilient.
Empower Future Initiative values dignity, inclusion, and community participation. Our approach recognizes that every person deserves access to basic needs and the opportunity to live with hope.
A stronger future is only possible when no vulnerable group is forgotten or left behind.
Best wishes,
Empower Future Initiative Team
