Feed Hungry Families in Northern Nigeria Crisis

Among the households reached through our food relief response are families headed by widows who carry the responsibility of caring for children and other dependants with very limited resources.

For many widow-headed households, food insecurity is not simply about the price of food. It is about having too little income to meet several competing needs at the same time. When resources become scarce, caregivers may have to choose between food, school expenses, healthcare, transportation, or other essential household needs.

This is why emergency food assistance matters.

By providing essential food supplies, Empower Future Initiative is helping vulnerable households reduce immediate pressure and preserve whatever limited resources they have. The assistance can help a caregiver prepare meals for children and dependants while using scarce income for other urgent needs.

Our humanitarian response is rooted in dignity. We do not want families experiencing hardship to feel forgotten or invisible. We want them to know that their struggles matter and that compassionate people are willing to stand beside them.
