Last 24th May, Medellin´s Council delivered an honor to the Fundación Tiempo de Paz as a recognition for the great support it has provided by working for the children in our city during these 12 years of existence.
It was a moving ceremony in which members from the Foundation main board, some leaders from Cenfol Church and some of our donors were present.
In the 12 years of the foundation existence, it has been the most honorific merit we have ever received, and even though there was not a monetary retribution, we would like to emphasize that this get us very much closer to some influence sectors that could make more evident the great need of protecting and providing safe environments for the children in our city.
We know that this is not an easy task, all the more since with this current Government, we have seen how inflation and therefore the increase of the food prices has been rampant, which has caused that to comprehensively assist our children be even more complex.
But we will not give up, we will keep on working hard for those who are the future of our country, and for advancing in our vision of opening 12 Children Centers all through the Aburra Valley, where there are already three Centers operating and are transforming hundreds of families from the most vulnerable sectors.
