Your donation allows us to expand and provide food donations to even more communities facing food insecurity.

Just this year, we’ve provided over 400,000 meals to individuals and families who rely on rescued food during challenging times. In a world of rising consumer costs, the food we donate has a significant positive impact on keeping communities healthy and safe.

But there’s more good news… your donation supported not just healthier people, but also a healthier planet. Every pound of food our volunteers pick up and donate means less food in the landfill. In 2026 alone, our rescue missions have kept over 1 million pounds of carbon from entering the atmosphere!

Building Our Capacity in 2026

Looking ahead, RLC is on track to welcome new food donors, provide resources to more recipient communities, and test models to reach more audiences. 

Some highlights include:

• Hosting in-person events that showcase stories and promote human connection around the power of food
• Onboarding more large-scale partners nationwide that can provide thousands of pounds of food in one rescue (shout out to Home Chef and KIND)
• Spreading the importance of food rescue with companies across diverse industries (since December, we’ve coordinated with teams at Google and Tripadvisor to share our model!)
