2 Meals/Day for 50 Disabled Cubans in Havana

By Marc Bohland | Executive Director

I want to give you a report about First-Hand Aid’s progress in Cuba and what is happening there. Thanks to our loyal friends and volunteers, we continue our journey and mission: to support the people of Cuba.

We are profoundly grateful for your support, and, as always, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Life for the Cuban people seems to be getting more complex. Obtaining anything in Cuba is a difficult problem with inflation and rising prices at an all-time high.
My question to various Cubans is always the same. How are you surviving? Their answer is “We live only day by day”.

Cuba continues to be in a crisis in providing food for its people. We continue to add people to our program by providing meals every week to support Cubans in the most need. Buying food for our programs has even become difficult, but we are focused on increasing the number from 50 to 60 people in the next few months. Your support has become essential more than ever in this goal as Cuba struggles to feed the people.

 Thank you
