We sincerely thank you for your kindness and continued support for homeless individuals and elderly persons through GlobalGiving. Your compassion has helped us serve those who struggle every day for food and dignity.
At SERUDS, our dedicated volunteers and staff regularly cook and distribute meals to homeless people as part of our Zero Hunger Initiative. Our mission is simple — no one should sleep hungry on the streets. The people we serve include elderly citizens, daily wage workers, street children, and other disadvantaged individuals who live in bus stations, railway platforms, parks, and roadside shelters.
Each day, we prepare freshly cooked meals consisting of steamed rice, vegetable curry, pickle, curd, and fresh fruits. Currently, we serve nutritious food to around 50 homeless people daily. Many beneficiaries have shared their heartfelt gratitude and blessings, expressing how a single meal restores their hope and strength.
