Strenthening and Transforming families in rurals

We have had tough times all over and life back in the village is unpredictable. With the Covid 19 pandemic, Lockdowns and curfews are the order of the day. Many families are going through hardships, women surviving on small businesses are not making it due to curfews. All these things affect the children and growth in communities.

However, allow me to thank you for your generosity and prayer. We have seen smiles and change on the faces of the widows who received fertilizer and seeds during this year’s planting season. Things have not been the same. The maize plants have done very well and are almost ready to harvest.  As they wait for the maize to dry they can at least have something to eat because they are ready.

This has turned out to be well thought of program. Tumaini is not only helping one child but a family. The widows can now smile because they have something on the farm. It is different from having one child in the home, supporting that one child while the widow and the rest of the children are at home suffering. This program is helping us to reach out to the widow and the other children as we educate one child from the family.

Our mission to bring a lasting positive change shall be accomplished through this program. Reaching out to the widows and poor families in the community is the best program I have had, fertilizer, seeds, skills is a way of bringing a lasting change.

It is our prayer and hopes that we will have more people come together to help us continue with this program. The program is almost dormant, we don’t have monthly support as we would wish to have.  It is always our request that you share with others what you are doing. This will bring more support and we will be able to make a difference. 

Words are not enough to express the joy you have put on these women’s hearts! We are so very much grateful. Let us go the extra mile and bring other people on board. YOU are doing a wonderful job!
