Dear Alhassan donors, supporters, and believers,
We highly appreciate your continuous support of our cause. Your donations contribute to sustain our project “Info Hub” and maintain our ERP system. We have the only database in Egypt that has physically challenged people’s information and we grow every day with an average of 15 beneficiaries (wheelchair users).
You witnessed every step of our growth. We started in 2013 with only 40 beneficiaries. Now, we support over 15,000 beneficiaries all over Egypt! We have reliable data and statistics that we share with the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity to evaluate wheelers' needs and implement solutions or come up with legislation and regulations for them. That kind of crucial data needs to be collected, analyzed, and evaluated properly and that’s the objective of our Info Hub project.
Ramadan is a month of generosity, where acts of giving take many forms. Zakat and charitable donations are not limited to traditional aid; they also include any support that preserves human dignity and provides people with the opportunity for a better life.
As part of its Ramadan campaign this year, Alhassan Foundation launched a fundraising initiative through the Info Hub Project to support and provide services to more than 17,000 wheelchair users across different governorates in Egypt.
The campaign highlights that Zakat can help protect the health of wheelchair users by providing properly fitted wheelchairs tailored to their medical needs and measurements. This helps prevent pressure sores and skeletal deformities while preserving their mobility and independence.
The campaign also emphasizes that acts of kindness during Ramadan are not limited to providing meals for those who are fasting. They can also include opening the door to sustainable livelihoods for wheelchair users by supporting small businesses and providing the means that enable them to work and earn a dignified income to support their families.
In addition, the campaign highlights the broader meaning of giving. Even a simple contribution can change the future of a child who uses a wheelchair, giving them the opportunity to learn, move, and work—allowing them to grow into productive individuals capable of building their own future.
Through the Info Hub Project, Alhassan Foundation is working to expand its reach and support as many beneficiaries as possible by providing rehabilitation services, assistive devices, and community inclusion programs. This reflects the belief that true giving opens the door to a dignified and independent life for persons with physical disabilities.
