As of 2024, Vietnam’s TB prevalence remains high at approximately 182 per 100,000 people. An estimated 30% of people with TB are still missed by government health services due to limited access to care, high out-of-pocket costs, and underreporting from the private sector. Drug-resistant TB (DR-TB) also remains a critical concern, with a rate of 9.9 per 100,000 people in 2023. These gaps highlight the need for our continued efforts to strengthen healthcare systems, expand diagnostic and treatment access, and ensure equitable care for all affected individuals.
