Summary
Kerala, a southern state in India has been struggling with floods for 10 days few months ago, left people at relief camps with no food, clothing and Shelter. Prime Trust is trying its best to provide support whatever is possible from their end. Now Prime Trust is trying to find support for the rehabilitation process as it will take quite a lot of time.
Challenge
The torrential rain has hit Kerala with the result that there were landslides and a grim flood like situation. Millions of people have been affected and were living in relief camps and back home now. The state lost millions of trees. Many lost their houses and death toll was increasing day by day. The nation has announced it as the national disaster.
Solution
Now, it is the time to undertake rehabilitation work such as plating more trees, restructuring houses and school buildings that got damaged. Also it is appropriate to support the children in the schools by providing stationary and other school supplies.
Long-Term Impact With our relief work, we would be able to support the people of the badly affected areas to come back to their normal life. Planting more number of trees, repair the houses and repair the school buildings would be the long term solution.
Updates
The material and funds raised was offered to the people of affected area and support is required to repair the buildings that got damaged. Prime Trust identified the places where support is needed to reconstruct houses and school buildings and gathering resources to being the work.
