The Food Aid for IDP Camp Families project, implemented by Elite Star Foundation in Nigeria, is designed to address food insecurity among internally displaced families who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and reliable access to food. The project has a total funding target of US$50,000 to support emergency food assistance through the distribution of essential food items, including rice, beans, garri, cooking oil, and other household necessities. According to the project's current GlobalGiving page, US$0 has been raised from the US$50,000 target, leaving the full amount outstanding. The platform also reports zero donations received, indicating that the project has not yet secured funding through its GlobalGiving fundraising page. Consequently, no expenditure or completed food distribution can be verified from the publicly available financial information. The planned intervention prioritizes children, widows, pregnant women, nursing mothers, older people, and persons with disabilities. The project is intended to work with camp leaders to promote transparent distribution and ensure that assistance reaches the most vulnerable households. The current financial position highlights the need to secure initial funding before the planned food procurement, transportation, and distribution activities can be implemented and documented.
