Saed Relief and Development implemented a food basket distribution project to support vulnerable families across several regions in Syria, aiming to improve food security and reduce the impact of ongoing humanitarian hardships. The distribution targeted families affected by displacement, unemployment, poverty, as well as households headed by widows and elderly individuals.
Each food basket included essential items sufficient for approximately one month, such as rice, bulgur, lentils, sugar, oil, and canned goods, all selected according to quality and health standards. The distribution was carried out by local field teams to ensure an organized and safe process, prioritizing the most vulnerable families based on verified needs assessments.
This initiative helped alleviate the financial burden on hundreds of families and reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting affected communities and strengthening their resilience. Feedback from beneficiaries also contributed to improving the distribution mechanism and enhancing future response strategies to ensure the highest level of efficiency and impact.
