Amid Syria’s worsening humanitarian conditions, thousands of families are living in extreme poverty, unable to afford even the most basic food items. Repeated displacement, lack of employment opportunities, and rising living costs have pushed many households into severe hunger, placing children at the greatest risk.
As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen food security, Saed Relief and Development implemented a second phase of its food basket distribution project in several affected areas. This phase aimed to reach families who had not previously received assistance, with special focus on female-headed households, the elderly, and families with sick members.
Each food basket contained essential items designed to meet daily nutritional needs and help families cope with harsh living conditions. Beyond nourishment, these baskets carried a message of solidarity and compassion, reassuring families that they have not been forgotten.
The response from beneficiaries reflected the importance of this intervention. Families expressed relief and gratitude for support that eased their daily anxiety and allowed them to focus on caring for their children instead of worrying constantly about food.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all donors who contributed to this humanitarian effort. Your continued generosity is vital to sustaining these life-saving programs. We kindly encourage you to keep supporting our work and to share this report with your family and friends, helping us expand our reach and bring hope to more families across Syria.
