As part of its humanitarian efforts during the holy month of Ramadan, Saed for Relief and Development implemented a food basket distribution campaign in Al-Harsh Camp in Northwest Syria. This initiative targeted vulnerable displaced families living in the camp, where many households continue to face difficult living conditions due to displacement and limited access to basic resources. Through this campaign, 330 families benefited from the distribution of food baskets.
Ramadan is a time when food needs increase for many families, especially those living in displacement camps and facing economic hardship. Recognizing this need, the campaign aimed to help alleviate the financial burden on families by providing essential food supplies that enable them to prepare daily iftar and suhoor meals throughout the holy month.
Each food basket included a selection of essential food items commonly used by families, such as rice, sugar, vegetable oil, bulgur, pasta, lentils, and dates, in addition to other basic food supplies. The baskets were carefully prepared to ensure that they would meet the nutritional needs of beneficiary families during Ramadan while promoting a spirit of solidarity and community support.
The distribution process was organized in a structured and transparent manner to ensure that assistance reached those most in need. Staff members and volunteers coordinated the distribution within the camp, facilitating the process and ensuring that all beneficiaries received their assistance with dignity and respect.
Many of the beneficiary families expressed their appreciation for this initiative, which helped ease their daily struggles and brought comfort during the holy month of Ramadan. The campaign highlighted the importance of humanitarian assistance and community solidarity in supporting displaced populations and improving their living conditions.
Saed for Relief and Development remains committed to continuing humanitarian programs that support vulnerable families in displacement camps and affected communities. The organization also encourages supporters and friends to share this report with others, helping raise awareness and promote greater humanitarian support for families in need.
