Cicada, a TFCF Taiwanese social worker in Swaziland, is the TFCF Project planner of Food for HIV-Infected Swazi Children.
“Swaziland always referred to as the “Little Switzerland“ of Africa and it's a beautiful country! However, the number of orphans has skyrocketed since 2000, reaching 100,000, largely due to HIV/AIDS. As a social worker, I hope I could do more for children here when I came to Swaziland and have started to think about it since two years ago. It was not until last February that I met one Preacher accidentally who is also a doctor in BAYLOR. Through his introduction, I have a chance to contact those children with HIV/AIDS and start to plan this project for them.
I appreciate all the support we receive from those generous donors. What I want to say is that we all are the children of the world and I am grateful for everything you have done to us. Thank you very much.”
- Message from Cicada, the Social Worker in TFCF Swaziland
HIV children need more help in Swaziland
Throughout this project, we kept close contact with those children, their parents, social workers and medical staff. There are so munch needed to be done and all we did is far from complete. It’s a long road and each step is only the beginning. Those children continuously need our attention, care and help. It’s you and me who can change their lives and future. Let’s work together to make that change.
Time to say goodbye & see you soon
I would like to sincerely thank you on behalf of the staff and the assisted children in Swaziland. We have had great success in working together with you, and we’ve received USD382 dollars from 8 generous donors who dedicated to supporting our project. You may find that the project is of great worth and we achieved our mission to help those in need.
It’s time to say goodbye to the Food for HIV-Infected Swazi Children project and we know that it is not the end but another new starting. In order to serve more disadvantaged children in Swaziland, we will launch another project later to fit their needs specifically. We are truly grateful for your dedication to helping Swaziland children, and hope you will support all TFCF projects as you did before and we are continually looking forward to receiving your assistance.
With gratitude,
Wen Hung
