Global Recognition-Janani Home in DER SPIEGEL

Global Recognition for Janani Home for Girls in DER SPIEGEL

We are overjoyed to share a moment of great pride and significance!

On March 30, 2025, DER SPIEGEL — one of Germany’s most respected and widely read weekly news magazines — published a compelling feature on Janani Home for Girls, an initiative of Prime Educational and Social Trust, Puducherry.

The article was written by Jennifer Carlos, a renowned Indian-French photographer and journalist whose lens captures the soul of human stories. In her article, Jennifer explores the harsh realities faced by women and girls in India, especially those who have been abandoned or marginalized. Through powerful words and imagery, she portrays how Janani Home is transforming lives with compassion, dignity, and unwavering commitment.

Janani Home serves as a sanctuary for girl children who have been left behind — victims of abandonment, abuse, or extreme poverty. With holistic care that includes shelter, education, emotional healing, and skill development, the Home helps these girls rebuild their lives, dream again, and grow into strong, confident individuals.

Being featured in DER SPIEGEL is not just a recognition of our work — it is a testament to the urgent need for global attention and support toward the cause of underprivileged girls in India. It reminds us all that even in the darkest circumstances, hope and humanity can light the way forward.

We warmly invite you to read the full article here:

Please share this story to help raise awareness and amplify the voices of those who are often unheard. Every step taken together brings us closer to a more just, equal, and compassionate world.
