We are grateful to all who have donated thus far. Fundraising efforts for the Cold Storage project through GlobalGiving have been slow due to lack of focus on promotion. Apart from the GlobalGiving platform, several larger donations have been received that will help us reach our $50,000 goal, though we are less than half way there. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to design the building structure, evaluate wall insulation options, and research the components necessary to power the cooling systems using solar panels and rechargeable lithium-ion solar batteries. Designs should be completed by year-end 2025. Initial work to start molding blocks for the building walls is slated to begin early 2026.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
