Thank you to all who have supported this initiative to improve food preservation and increase the potential income of our farmers at the Gbarnga Lutheran Training Center (GLTC) in rural Liberia, West Africa. Ongoing unrest in world markets, especially the continued rising cost for diesel, fertilizer and other farm inputs have increased our projected costs. The need to maximize profits from our agriculture harvests is even more imperative – and crop preservation will play a critical role.
Our funding goal through GlobalGiving has not been met and our last effort to raise the remaining funds for this project have not come to fruition. Thus, we are seeking grant funding through other foundations and donors to complete our budgeted needs. Your support through GlobalGiving is important and we encourage you to share this need with friends and family.
Thank you and continue praying that we will find all the resources and financial support needed to begin construction of this important food preservation facility to help break the cycle of food insecurity and poverty in this rural area.
