OUTPUT UPDATES (2022 - 2023 ONGOING)

Moldova 2022-2023

• 3 ambulances and 2 truckloads of medical supplies and consumables provided to 3 emergency units and 2 hospitals in Moldova and 3 hospitals in Ukraine;

• More than 500 refugees staying in 4 different Refugee Accommodation Centers in Moldova has been supported by various relief measures;

- 5 refrigerators and 3 washing machines donated to Congaz & Chirsovo RACs;

- Art classes for children being held regularly every weekend in Vulcaneshti & Chirsovo RACs;

- English classes for children being held regularly every weekend in Vulcaneshti & Chirsovo RACs;

- Bulk food provided to Trade Union RAC in Chishinau to meet the needs of 300 refugees who arrived in Moldova in fall to spend winter;

- Purchasing the food products to 40-45 refugees that came to eat at the Sanatorium in Vadului Voda, Moldova;

- Donating 150 towel sets and 150 bedding sets to the sanatorium “Bucuria Sand” in the settlement Vadului-Voda, Republic of Moldova;

- Donating Chess clock - 10 pcs, chess table set - 15 pcs, chess board - 15 pcs, Demonstration chess board 1 pc to the House for Arts and Crafts for children (IDPs and locals);

- 90 diapers and napkins were donated to the departments of maternity of the hospitals in Comrat, Vulcaneshti and Ceadir-Lunga, ATU Gagauzia, Republic of Moldova;

  • 1049 Ukrainian refugees and disabled - 749 refugees + 300 people with physical disabilities being for fresh food and 55 for clothing- benefited from cash aid in Republic of Moldova;
  • 2733 families - 2267 Ukarinian refugees and 466 people with physical disabilities including also people in need from the local community in addition to refugees- benefited from food parcel distribution in the Republic of Moldova, each parcel consists of 16 different items;
  • 1953 families - 1487 Ukrainian refugees and 466 people with physical disabilities including also people in need from the local community in addition to refugees- benefited from hygiene bags distribution in the Republic of Moldova, each parcel customized according to the individual needs of the family;

Bolgrad District, Odessa Region, Ukraine

  • 6407 families – including both IDPs and people in need from the local community- benefited from food parcel distribution in Odessa Region in Ukraine, each parcel consists of 16 different items;
  • 3031 families - including both IDPs and people in need from the local community - benefited from hygiene parcel distribution in Odessa Oblast in Ukraine, each parcel customized according to the individual needs of the family;
  • Distributing the bedding sets (1 blanket, 1 wool pillow, 2 linens set) were distributed to 488 IDPs families that live in Bolgrad District;

• About 1000 IDP children staying in RACs and individually accommodated in Odessa & Mkolayv Oblast soon to benefit from winter clothing distribution including coats, boots, socks and thermal underwear in Ukraine, among them 366 IDPs children - 64 children got winter clothes from Koblevo of Mikolaiv Oblast, 591 children IDP (Bolgrad District) and 34 children from the vulnerable community got winter clothes of Odessa Oblast;

  • 820 families of IDPs who are individually accommodated in Bolgrad District were benefited from wool blanket distribution in Ukraine;
  • 400 stoves and 400 tons of pellets (in the form of 40 kg packs) were distributed in Ukraine (Bolgrad District and other locations);
  • 99 IDP families and local families hosting IDPs were supported with necessary construction materials and double-glazed windows and doors to rehabilitate/improve their shelters/houses to cope with winter in Bolgrad District.
  • 60 bedding sets and 60 mattresses were donated to the kindergarten in Bolgrad where more 25 children of IDP families go to;
  • 40 bedding sets and 2 electric heaters were donated to the Elder Center in Tarutyne, where 3 IDPs from Kherson and Kharkiv are settled in:
  • 5 generators were donated to the PHCs in Bolgrad District, Odessa Region, UA;

Mykolaiv Region

  • 300 IDPs staying in Kobleve RAC in Mykolaiv Region in Ukraine benefitted from bedding distribution including 1 blanket, 1 wool pillow, 2 linens set;

• Hundreds of people daily benefit from the community shelter established in the city center of Mykolaiv within which phone chargers, cooking and heating stoves are available for public use;

• 500 IDPs- benefited from food parcels distribution in Mykolaiv Oblast in Ukraine;

Ongoing

• 500 IDPs- benefited from food parcels distribution in Mykolaiv Oblast in Ukraine (from December);

• 1000 food parcels to be distributed monthly in Mkolayv Oblast in Ukraine (monthly regular);

• 1000 food & hygiene parcels to be distributed monthly in Odessa Region in Ukraine (including April, 2023);

• 500 food and hygiene parcels to be distributed monthly in Odessa Region, Ukraine (May, 2023);

• 300 food & hygiene items to be distributed monthly in Odessa Region, Ukraine (from June, 2023, hygiene items - the rest);

• 300 food & hygiene parcels to be distributed monthly in Moldova (from June, 2023, hygiene items - the rest);

•Purchasing the medical supplies and consumables, an ambulance car (Ceadir - Lunga Hospital) and medical equipment to the hospitals and Emergency Unit Stations in Vulcaneshti and Ceadir-Lunga and their delivery to Republic of Moldova;

• Installation of 2 water tanks, each having a capacity of 10 tonnes and of 5 water tanks of 2 tons in Kherson, UA;

•Signing the MOU with Tarutyne Gromada and starting the process to prepare the Protocol and Work Plan of Responsibilities to build a new PHC in Tarutyne, Bolgrad District, Odessa Oblast, UA.

Being Planned 

  • Establishment of a Briquette Production Workshop as a long-term winterization measure in Ukraine;

•Purchasing the medical supplies and consumables to the new PHC in Bolgrad, Odessa Oblast and their delivery in UA;

•Signing the Protocol and Work Plan of Responsibilities, and starting to build a new PHC in Tarutyne, Bolgrad District, Odessa Oblast, UA;

•Delivery of X-ray equipment to the Ceadir- Lunga Hospital in Republic of Moldova.
