During the two years of COVID 19 pandemic it is estimated that the maternal deaths increased by more than 200%. There is no clear statistics because most of these deaths would take place at home. Before COVID 19 pandemic about 16 mothers would die every day due to birth related complications. This means more than 50 mothers were dying every day due to birth related complications. Health systems have not automatically become normal after two years of being run down by COVID 19 pandemic. We introduced mobile Antenatal clinics in the communities that aims to provide integrated maternal Healthcare to mothers. We provide Health education, Provide Iron and Folic acid supplements and check blood pressure and Hemoglobin levels. We introduced a center for teenage fathers to effectively take care of teenage mothers, this is mainly done through film shows. We provide deliver kits to mothers together with mosquito nets. This initiative has seen more than 1,000 mothers attend antenatal clinic for more than four times and 80% have delivered under the care of qualified Health care workers mainly the midwives. We need more support to make more delivery kits, Support midwives to sustain the mobile antenatal clinics, fully repair the Ambulance for effective referrals of mothers. We thank all our partners and friends who have contributed this amount for us to be able to make these tremendous achievements.
