As part of the first stage of the programme, a total of 61 upper secondary school teachers from various institutions across the state of San Luis Potosí participated in a training process.
The main objective of this initiative was to equip teachers with the necessary theoretical foundations and methodological tools to effectively implement a pedagogical approach that encourages the development of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) competences among their students. This approach is designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration through interdisciplinary learning experiences.
Following the initial training, follow-up support sessions were organized. These sessions served to strengthen and consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired during the training phase, while also offering personalized guidance to help teachers design and refine their own STEM-based educational projects.
These projects, which reflect the application of the strategies and methodologies covered in the training, will be presented by the teachers at the upcoming STEM Meeting—a forum aimed at sharing experiences, showcasing innovative practices, and fostering a collaborative professional learning community.
