Sustainable Development Association (SDA) joined the world in celebrating World Children’s Day. World Children’s Day is UNICEF’s annual day of action for children, by children, marking the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
“Children are our future” this was the theme of the day and Girls were assigned task to the write a Paragraph on it. Their paragraphs were read and the prizes were distributed on their effort. Renowned social activist Nazim Baloch briefed on the importance of World’s Children Day which is celebrated on 20th November every year. He also talked on the climate change, girl child education, special children, and other challenges faced by children in Pakistan. Our children our future will be much aware about these issues and ready to take actions to make our country and this world more resilient to tackle these challenges.
Children also expressed their own experiences with the guests during their interaction. All the participants were determined to join hands for the rights of children particularly rights of girls in context of Pakistan. This was decided that world children days will be celebrated according to the themes of every year.
Principal thanked the participants for their valuable input to broaden the spectrum of the children on Child Rights.
