With a view to comforting Internally Displaced Students removed from the streets as part of the implementation of the project "Free school fees for displaced children in Burkina Faso", Global NEEED Burkina organized from June 14 to 16, 2022 , a study trip for their benefit. This study trip involved the thirty-five best internally displaced students from the Lycée Moderne de l’Amitié in Ouahigouya. This activity was aimed at the city of Ouagadougou, Ziniaré and the village of Laongo, localities located in the regions of the center and the central plateau.
We visited in the city of Ouagadougou the Bangr-Wéogo Urban Park, the National Museum, the Thomas SANKARA Memorial, the roundabout of the Martyrs. In the town of Ziniaré, 30 kilometers east of Ouagadougou, we visited the animal sanctuary and in Laongo we visited the granite sculptures.
This outing was fruitful for these students. They were amazed by what they were able to discover and learn on these different sites visited. Moreover, many students are discovering the city of Ziniaré for the first time and especially the capital Ouagadougou with its roads crowded with people, motorbikes and cars. We can therefore imagine the great joy that was theirs on their return to Ouahigouya
