Langley Elementary's new food forest

Dear friends,

We would like to share the planting of our most recent Fruit Tree 101 orchard: a food forest at Langley Elementary School in Washington, DC!

Trees were planted this past weekend with the help of Langley PTA parent volunteers, who over two days came out, rain or shine (and there was plenty of rain), to plant 30 fruiting trees and shrubs that will provide fruit for their students for decades. Langley hopes to serve as a model for school garden programs by using permaculture methods for sustainable food production to feed and educate their students and families.

Thank you to everyone for continuing to support the Fruit Tree 101 program, especially in these challenging times!

To a fruitful future for all children,

The FTPF Team
