Happy Earth Day!
We are excited to share with you, our generous supporters, two exciting upcoming Fruit Tree 101 projects happening this spring!
This month, dozens of schools in Uganda are receiving fruit trees for their campuses and their students' families as part of our large-scale planting program in the Jinja district. FTPF has been working in Uganda since 2013, planting tens of thousands of trees to alleviate hunger and malnutrition for very low-income children and their families.
Next month, FTPF will be working with the Bay Mills Indian Tribe of northern Michigan as part of our Trees for Tribes program to plant orchards at several locations, including the tribe's Child Development Center. This orchard will supply tribal children with fresh food and learning opportunities, as well as support food sovereignty and overall health for Bay Mill's families.
We are also planning additional projects for later in the year and will be posting updates here on GlobalGiving as well as sharing live and in-the-field media on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Be sure to follow along to see your generosity in action!
Gratefully,
The FTPF Team
