Dear Friend,
Champa is a young woman from a rural village in South Rajasthan. She recently joined Seva Mandir's financial and digital literacy project, which aims to make rural and tribal women aware of digital banking and how to avoid the dangers of financial fraud. Champa actively participated in the training.
Recently, Champa invested in a Fixed Deposit (FD) with the local bank. When the deposit matured, she took all the necessary steps to withdraw her money, but didn't receive any response from the bank. She was clearly a victim of bank fraud.
However, thanks to her training from the financial and digital literacy programme, she knew how and where to escalate the issue to get it resolved.
Champa took her problem to the local authorities and urged them to take immediate action. Within just 10 days, Champa got her hard-earned money back; had Champa not been aware of how to navigate such a situation, she would have lost her hard-earned money.
Support from well-wishers like you makes it possible for rural women like Champa to stand up for their rights and fight injustice.
With your support, we hope to continue to make a small but significant difference in the lives of less privileged women in South Rajasthan.
Warm Regards
Ronak Shah
Chief Executive
