Covid 19 has hit severely all the areas of development and progress in education. Life is not the same even at the school, and it hard for the learners.
We have reopened the schools partially, 4th and 8th grade were allowed to resume learning as they are candidates this year. With the high school only candidates were allowed to resume. Others grades were to resume on the 26th October but Covid cases have increased rapidly thus threatening the safety of the learners.
We have not had our students at the school and this has affected our music classes and practices. However school reopening has helped us to have few children who are practicing and learning. We have new instruments and our children are enjoying their time in the class. It is interesting how they have built their confidence so fast and how eager they are to learn.
We are planning to have a full band and so we need more instruments to make it happen. The band will be instrumental, both traditional and gospel songs will be practiced. We also have a traditional dance with traditional instruments and we believe this is going to change the lives of these children. The talents will be mentored accordingly and we will participate in all the competitions. This is not only helping us mentor the talents but it’s going to attract many learners to join our school.
We appreciate your support and we are looking forward for walking with you on this journey.
