Smiles Forever Turns 25: A Generation of Sharing

2025 Marks 25 Years since Sandy Kemper, a dental hygienist herself, founded Smiles Forever to encourage the women of Bolivia to reach higher with education and be the ripple affect of change across their communities.  We together with all the Bolivians whose lives have been touched, and with all of you who were either at the beginning of the journey, or who carried some of the burdens along the way with your support, celebrate this milestone.  Thank you!

Our Inspiring Mothers

Smiles Forever Believes in the Power of Women to Inspire Change

Our Philosophy in part states: By giving indigenous women the life-changing opportunity to earn a two-year dental hygienist degree, Smiles Forever believes we are helping break the cycle of abuse and poverty. Both our students and our graduates model what positive changes women can make for themselves, their children, their families, their community, and yes even for their country.

We learn from our mothers:  our Founder Sandy Kemper learned so much about the spirit of giving and service from her mother Edwardine (Eddie) Robison.  None surpassed Eddie's work ethic.  Eddie showed Sandy how to be compassionate and generous in all ways with her time and Eddie constantly demonstrated showing kindness to others.  It was said of Eddie,  Your friend was her friend, and what she had she would gladly share.  How much Eddie's quiet passion to serve and improve the lives of everyone she touched is reflected in her daughter's mission.

The torch has passed from Mother to Daughter-

Smiles Forever Sizzles This Summer: Sandy heads to Switzerland to Accept International Dental Hygienist Prize

Sandy, our Founder of the Dental Hygienist School in Bolivia 16 years ago, has won a prestigious international award and will be heading to Switzerland on June 9th to accept it.  There will be a world-wide gathering of dental hygienists, many who like Sandy have been improving dental care to the 3rd world.  Both in Seattle and Bolivia the excitement is building--what a dream come true to have our sweat and toil of so many years recognized.  We are being rewarded for being pioneers.  Our school educating homeless indigenous women, including mothers, has grown to where we can branch out and serve many specialized shelters.  The model for educating hundreds to ultimately treating thousands has been thoroughly tested by Smiles Forever.  Now the world will see how it can work for them and for the lives of thousands more in other countries.
