In the first semester of the year through many sports activities in Tennis, Hockey, Football, Karate and Athletics, Special Olympics Chile reached more than 300 youngsters with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
SO Chile generated opportunities for these youngsters to move from the "bench to the field!, to be part of a team, to develop abilities that will serve them also outside the field.
This participation has had an impact not only in the personal life of these youngsters but also in the lives of their families who can experience the joy of their children and also see a display of abilities for the first time in many cases.
Awareness on diversity and inclusion has also been created in their communities through the engagement of local authorities and local leaders.
