Project Report | Sep 7, 2023
The unified sport

By Silvia Bisconti | Project Leader

The Special Olympics Berlin 2023 World Games have already passed. And our delegation of 39 Chilean athletes with intellectual disabilities have achieved 14 medals. This has meant an enormous personal, family and sporting achievement for our athletes. And that without the support of so many people, companies and the Chilean government, this would not have been possible. It is for all this that today more than ever we need to continue adding people and companies that understand the benefits and assume the commitment to create inclusive mentalities in our society. Through sport, each year more than 6,000 people in Chile experience inclusion and the power of unified sport. We need to continue working on the promotion of unified sport, where people with and without intellectual disabilities share the same sports space, enriching and enhancing their skills
