Hey there, awesome supporters!
We need your help to give kids in poor areas of South Africa a great education. We want to mix sports with their schoolwork to help them stay healthy and work together as a team. We're going to build a cool sports court and teach teachers how to keep the sports fun going. This program will help kids learn more in school, have fun playing sports, and grow their talents and strength.
At Bhongolethu Foundation, we help kids in Masiphumelele township get a great education. Our goal is to give children in need the chance to learn, grow, and break free from poverty. We think it's important to mix sports with schoolwork. It's not just about having fun and staying healthy. Playing sports can help kids relax and stay focused. It also teaches them how to work together as a team, improve their physical skills, and find a sport they love. It's a win-win for everyone!
We have identified an area at our local primary school where we want to build a multi sports ground to bring sport into the school and the community but it needs a lot of work and once build we need to raise investment to teach the children and teachers and fund sports equipment. It's a big job but it is our number once focus for 2024 for our sports program.
We need to raise $6,000 to landscape and build the sports court/field, $5,000 to lay high grade astroturn that will survive long term and is super safe for young children. We then need $2,000 to fund a fence to protect the court from mis-use, we need $300 for goals and balls, $400 for tennis and badminton, $500 for toher sports equipment and $200 per lesson plan and coaching from a sports expert.
We ahve broken this project down and are actively fundraising and hope to kick off building by June 2024!
We are hopeful we can do it!
Thanks,
Tyrone
