March and April Update about Our Sanctuary Animals

March and April have been challenging months due to the scorching summer heat where we encountered several cases of animals suffering from extreme dehydration. We were able to rescue, treat and rehabilitate many pets from critical conditions thanks to the support of the many donors like you who believed in the cause and reassured us with timely and recurring donations.

Our adoptions and rescues continued unabated thanks to wonderful foster parents who came forward to offer care for several orphaned puppies and kittens. We were successful in finding forever homes and loving families for most of them. Laila found her forever home soon after rescue. Monica came with severe skin problems and thanks to you, she is on the road to a fast and full recovery. A donation of USD 50 will cover all expenses including food, treatment and care of one rescue animal for a whole month!

Our sanctuary also got a face-lift thanks to your support. We were blessed by the participation of several volunteers who tirelessly worked to create harmonious spaces for the furry inhabitants of the sanctuary. This has provided the much needed enrichment to their lives. We were also able to create a safe and secure space for our paralyzed residents to frolick in, and it was heartening to see them enjoy themselves in their safe haven.

We were able to procure, distribute and install water-bowls throughout the city where many kind-hearted citizens came forward to maintain these and refill daily or even several times during the day. Many animals and birds have been able to quench their thirst thanks to your kindness and generosity. We were also able to spread the message of compassion to students of several schools and colleges, who were more than happy to not only participate in the project, but also, install and maintain a bowl or two in their own homes.

All this work have made a tremendous difference to several animals and this was made possible only by your generous donations. Please continue to support us!

January and February 2019 Update

World Spay Day

The New Year has brought new beginnings, thanks to the support of the many donors like you who believed in the cause and reassured us with timely and recurring donations. We are deeply indebted to you and want to share the successes that were made possible, all because of YOU!

January and February have been two months of amazing rescues and recoveries as well as a few adoptions of our special-need dogs that we thought would never be possible. Thanks to your support, we were able to provide the critical care that some of our rescue animals needed, that led to their recovery and successful rehabilitation.

We were very happy to see Weezer find her forever home and loving family. Weezer was a victim of road traffic accident and we were afraid that the slight limp she had on one of her hind limbs will put off potential adopters. The loving care she received at the shelter made her a confident young lady and she ended up endearing herself to a wonderful family that will cherish her forever! Jacky the blind pom also found his home quite unexpectedly much to our delight and joy. A wonderful family whisked him away and he lives like a king in his new abode.

The World Spay Day was celebrated by performing several sterilization surgeries to shine the spotlight on the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals as the most humane method to reduce suffering due to pet overpopulation. Our door-to-door campaign on Rabies also resulted in vaccinating more than 200 pet and community dogs against Rabies.

Your $50 donation covers the cost of treatment and care of one rescue animal for a whole month and a small $20 donation covers spaying/neutering and vaccinating one dog/cat.

We have a target to spay/neuter 100 companion animals and vaccinate 200 dogs against Rabies every month to fulfil our promise for better lives to the many street animals of this city. Thanks to you, we are able to achieve the target. Please continue to support us!

Annual Update for the Rescue Animals of HAS Sanctuary

The year 2018 has been a fabulous one thanks to the support of the many donors like you, who believed in the cause and reassured us with their timely and recurring donations. We are deeply indebted to you and want to share our successes that were made possible, all because of YOU.

Just this year, we have been able to influence more than 5000 animals postively and we hope that you will continue to support us as we move into the next year with renewed strength.

Our highlights of 2018 are:

Vaccinated 3330 companion animals against Rabies as well as other viral diseases like Canine Distemper, Parvo Virus etc.
Treated 3663 animals through our out-patient clinics
Spayed/Neutered 862 companion animals
Rescued 940 animals
Found homes for 255 companion animals

We are immensely proud of this incredible achievement. The Anti-Rabies Vaccination drives where we vaccinated more than 1500 dogs this year, was done after conducting a Dog-population survey which reinforced our belief in achieving a Rabies-free city in the near future. Our motto for 2020 is a "Rabies-free Coimbatore" and we hope that you will support us in making that a reality. With your support, we can truly become a rabies-free city making human death from rabies, a matter of history!

Your donations helped us rehabilitate several road-traffic accident victims by procuring Walkin' Wheels that has made a huge difference in the quality of life of many rescue animals that have their hind limbs paralyzed. Your recurring contributions have helped us support their care and treatment expenses month after month bringing them cheer and comfort.

Currently, we have more than 75 animals that need care and treatment on a daily basis and we hope you will help us give them a life devoid of suffering that they so much deserve.

Your $50 donation covers the cost of treatment and care of one rescue animal for a whole month.

$20 covers spaying/neutering and vaccinating one dog/cat.

We have a target to spay/neuter 100 companion animals every month. Help us start off strong in 2019 and achieve our goal of enhancing our recurring contributions and achieve our target of raising $2,000 every month.
