20th June 2013: Volunteer Induction Day
It's an exciting day at GlobalGiving UK: today we welcome a new group of volunteers - 15 in total! Volunteering is integral to the way we work and this dynamic young group will help us at all levels of our organisation - from communicating with donors and project leaders to helping to deliver larger projects like the Gateway Challenge.
We have spent the day introducing our new team to GlobalGiving's work as well as introducing our systems and project leaders.
Six of this number will be travelling to visit our projects around the world. This will help us develop a deeper understanding of how these projects work, and what is important to them in terms of growth and development. Above all, our new volunteers will allow us to work more efficiently and effectively.
We are grateful to everybody who has supported the Innovation fund so far. Without your support the volunteers that we're meeting today would not be here at all. Keep an eye out for our volunteer visitors' reports from the field over the coming months!
Thanks again for your continued support, which is helping to keep GlobalGiving at the forefront of innovation in online giving!
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
